Today we worked on the property in Black Man Eddy! The kids came with their machetes ready to cut anything and everything down. The main project was to ORGANIZE the container-- which was a complete mess and full of random things. Most random award goes to: a portable toilet seat with complimentary "relief" bags-- thankfully NONE were used and YES we got rid of such a find.
Everything that Grant and I saw as worthless and wanted to chunk, the kids seemed to find valuable and wanted to take home. For example: broken tiki lamps, a set of santa clause lights, and a portable shower bag (yes, you place this bag in the sun for 3 hours and WAAALAAA..... HOT water)! It was fun to see the kids going through boxes like it was Christmas-- I think we were all anxious to see what we might find next!
For all you snake lovers-- John (the man that lives on the property) had a LARGE visitor this morning in his home! It was a black tail, 3 foot long SNAKE!!! By the time we got to the property, John had already chopped it into little pieces. John described it as so, "I was sitting on my bed and all of a sudden I saw a head come up. I jumped up and pushed everything out of the way and grabbed my machete!" My question, "Did it scare ya to death?" John, " Uhhhhh, yea, a lil' bit." Even a Belizean is scared of these critters--- I'm glad I'm not the only one!!
Tonight the kids are coming over for BIBLE STUDY! We decided to make things easy and cook hotdogs. Downstairs has been turned into a "movie theater" and the yard is ready for a soccer tournament. "Dew Cinemas" will be playing "Mr. Peabody and Sherman." Our lesson is from 2 Corinthians 5: 16-21. We'll be talking about being a new creation in
THAKN YOU guys for your SUPPORT and PRAYERS!! Come visit SOON :):)
