We've been working on the farm this week. It has been very hot, but it has been fun to pick up kids with the school bus and take them out to the property. The land is BEAUTIFUL! Yesterday we cooked hotdogs on the barbecue pit built next to the palapa-- who knew kids would work so hard in the name of a HOTDOG! After a long day on the farm we came across this creek! We ended up walking 2 miles to get to it, because the roads were only wide enough for wagons to go through. We had found an Amish community and although they probably thought we were CRAZY, we had a blast in the cool water. On our way to the creek we encountered a cow, but not just any old cow. Needless to say, we figured our amish friends were having beef FILET MIGNON that night, because there wasn't mush left but the head!
Grant and I were honored to have dinner with Asia and Brendan McGlinchey last night. On our way home Grant looked at me and said, "I don't think I've ever been so excited to see mashed potatoes!" Thank the LORD for a glimpse of the South! You're such a great cook ASIA :)
